Happy 4th of July!

We had a wonderful 4th of July together.  Craig got the day off school and Brooklyn was in a great mood.  After hitting the gym in the morning we headed down to Mississippi for a BBQ and swim party.  Brooklyn and I swam while Craig played volleyball. After swimming I changed Brooklyn out of her swimsuit and laid her down on the ground in the shade of a hammock and we looked over after a few minutes and she was out and slept for 30 minutes (which is as long as she would have slept in her crib, so we were happy).
After eating all the yummy food they passed out popsicles to the kids and had some left over so Lauren and I decided we couldn't pass them up.  Who can beat a red, white, and blue popsicle, I mean really.  That evening we then went over to a friends house from the ward and ate some more delicious food for dinner.  We didn't watch any fireworks because we didn't know how Brooklyn would do with them (she is not a huge fan of loud noises) and we were all just tired.  Maybe next year we will actually watch some.  So overall we had a great 4th of July and can't express how grateful we are to live in this beautifully free country and for the amazing men and women who keep it that way for us.
