Fall Festivities

We had a lot of fun this fall.  We tried to get outside as much as possible.  We took Brooklyn to a BSU football game which she loved, until it hit about 8:00 when she asked if she could go to bed.  We hit up the zoo once and tried to go to the park as often as possible.  We went to the open house at the Eagle fire station.  The kids had a lot of fun crawling around the fire trucks. Craig and I went to Sun Valley for a few days while my parents watched the kids.  Craig had an optometry conference so I tagged along.  We went hiking around Red Fish Lake, I got a massage, and we went out to a couple of nice dinners.  It was a really great get-a-way, the first we have ever had.  My sister Melissa had her baby right before Halloween, Brinley Jane.  We had a fun Thanksgiving with my Dad's whole family.  McKay ate a ton and Brooklyn had a lot of fun running around with the other kids.  We wish Craig didn't have to work the next two days, but other than that it was great.  We had a really fun fall and hope that winter will be the same.

Well our little guy is just that, a little guy, that's the Moss blood in him.  This kid is all over the place and high energy.  He loves to run around everywhere, he still trips over stuff and runs into things fairly often, but he loves to just go full steam ahead.  He loves to put on hats, sunglasses, really anything and then show it off to anyone who will look.  He has really started to copy his sister especially when she spins in circles.  He still loves to eat just about anything.  He is pretty obsessed with avocados and teddy grahams.   His sleeping is still about the same.  He will sleep until 5:30-630am and drink a bottle of milk and then go back to sleep until about 7:30am.  One of these days we will get rid of that bottle and hopefully just sleep until 7:00 or so.  Most days he takes one nap from about 1:00-2:30ish.   He is still pretty up and down.  He will either be super happy and so fun to play with or he is so sad and upset and just kind of crazy.  Can babies be bipolar?  He is still super attached and has major separation anxiety.  Someday I'll be able to go to the gym again.  He does at least do well with my mom as long as i'm not there.  He still has 8 teeth but is currently working on all of his molars, hopefully they will work their way through soon.  He is saying a few new words, cheese, bompa (grandpa), geezuz (Jesus).  He loves when his Dadda comes home from work, he gives awesome slobbery kisses, has the best giggle ever and loves to take his socks and shoes off every time we are in the car.  I love this crazy kid of ours.

The New House

Well we officially closed on the house on Monday, November 6th.  We were so excited to finally get the keys to the house.  We then took the next 2 weeks or so to gradually move our things over from Craig's parents house and to get unpacked.  We figured that since we had a place to stay we could take our time to move over so that we didn't have to live out of boxes.  I spent a lot of the days at the house with the kids while appliances and furniture got delivered and then either Craig or I would go back in the evening after the kids went to bed.  We moved into the house right before Thanksgiving on the 20th.  The kids adjusted really well to the house, I'm sure it helped that we went over at least weekly while it was being built and then spent so much time there as we were moving in.  Brooklyn loved her new bed and dresser and she especially loves her window seat.  We pretty much bought all new furniture for the house except for McKay's room.   We sold all of our furniture when we moved from Memphis which made moving a lot easier and it was a lot of fun to buy new things for the new house.  There are still a few things that we need to get, like new night stands and decorative things, but really we are felling quite settled.  The only piece of furniture that still needs to be put together is the desk for Craig's office.  We have been putting that off because it is such a big job.  One of these days we will get that done and then get his office organized.  We have really loved the new house so far and knock on wood, the kids haven't destroyed anything yet.  I was a little nervous about having a brand new house and all brand new furniture and 2 little kids running around. We are really looking forward to a long while in this house and for this to be the house that our kids grow up in.
