Happy Fall Y'all

Most of our fall was spent at soccer, more soccer and then a little bit more soccer.  Both kids were playing this fall.  Brooklyn was playing with a new club, Albion West, and McKay was playing with the Star Park and Rec.  We spent a few days every week out at Simplot Sports Complex for Brooklyn's games, luckily McKay's practices and games were just a few minutes from our house.  Brooklyn's skills and understanding of the game really improved.  Her coaches were great and really taught the girls.  She really enjoyed her teammates and had a lot of fun, especially since they won most of their games.  McKay of course dominated and they won all but one game.

We also got in one last hike up in the mountains before the snow came in.  We hiked into Rapid Lake, which was gorgeous as always.  The kids made it look easy.  They are such great hiking buddies.

We were also able to make it to 2 BSU football games as a family.  I was able to get to one more and Craig made it to a couple more.  Always fun to watch games on the blue turf.  It's so much fun to get to do these types of things together as a family.  Not only did we watch a lot of BSU games, but both kids have really gotten in to football in general.  Football was on at our house non-stop.  Brooklyn was always asking, "is there a game on?".  She knows more players and more about teams than I do.

We also celebrated Craig's 36th birthday and Halloween.  I didn't get very many pictures of Halloween, but luckily they decided to dress in the same costumes as last year, so if you need a refresher you can look back at last years Halloween post.  We did go trick-or-treating with some friends around their neighborhood and the kids got plenty of candy.  They are still actually eating it now, 2 months later.

Thanksgiving was wonderful as always.  I love spending time with family and taking the time to count our blessings. I love making the thankful turkeys with the kids and going through each blessing that we have. On Wednesday after doing a lot of food prep with the kiddos, I got to go to The Forgotten Carols with my mom, Melissa and Tiffany.  We had gone before when we were kids and my Dad loved the music from the play.  The soundtrack got played a lot at our house around the holidays.  They did such a wonderful job and it brought back wonderful memories of my Dad.  I am so glad that Melissa got us together to go.  While I was at the play Craig and the kids headed over to Stan and Diane's for the annual Pie Night.  They had a blast with their cousins and ate lots of yummy pie.  On Thursday after teaching my Turkey Day spin classes, we finished up the rest of our food responsibilities and headed on up to Stan and Diane's for dinner.  We ate dinner with Craig's parents and his brother Mark's family.  As always the food was delicious and we had way too much of it.  We hung there for a while before we then headed over to my mom's house to do pie with my family.  More pie than you would like to know was consumed over Thanksgiving.  On Friday we then headed up to the cabin and took all of the leftovers with us.  There wasn't enough snow yet to ski, but there was enough snow to play in the backyard and we also went to the hot springs, did puzzles, played games, went out to eat and had a blast.  We always love sneaking away up to the cabin.

We had a wonderful fall.  It was very busy with lots of money spent on gas, but always worth it.  Trying really hard to focus on the little moments day to day and not get stuck in the business.  Love this family of mine.
