McKay turns 4!

August 15, 2020
33 lbs. 15 oz. (30th percentile)
41 inches (63rd percentile)

I can't believe that our little guy is already 4!  He was so excited for his birthday and was counting down for weeks.  Craig had to work the morning of McKay's birthday (August 15th) so we let McKay open one gift before Craig headed off to work.  McKay was very specific about wanted 2 T-rex, one for him and one for Brooklyn so they could play together, so Brooklyn got him a set of dinosaurs that had 2 T-rex.

Once Craig got done with work around lunch time we let McKay finish opening up his gifts.  McKay then wanted to go for a drive in the mustang since he got a matching toy one, so they drove it up to Craig's parents and helped Craig wash the car.  That afternoon we headed over to my parents house for his party.  The best part about a summer birthday and grandparents having a pool is that we can always have a swim party.  We swam and ate pizza and swam some more and then had cake and ice cream and brownies.  McKay's request for cake was for it to be blue and orange.  I did my best and luckily 4 years aren't too picky.  McKay had a blast playing and swimming with cousins.  He loves the walkie-talkies that grandma and grandpa got him.  He wanted to have his party at Grandma and Grandpa's house instead of Nana and Pop's so that Grandpa could be there too.  He is such a sweet boy.

On Sunday we then headed up to Craig's parents house to round out the celebrations.  We ate a yummy dinner and then McKay got to open up the rest of his presents.  Diane made him some super cute light sabers out of pool noodles and they also got him his own golf clubs.  He was so excited that he no longer has to use his sisters clubs.

McKay was so excited to turn 4.  He is such a sweet, smart, kind, cuddly, stinker-winker boy and we love him dearly.   His favorite color is red, his favorite show is Gigantasourus, he loves to be rough and tumble and to wrestle, he loves to be around people and hates to be alone, he wants to do whatever his big sister is doing, he is so good around babies and loves to "babysit" them, he has the best laugh, he goes to time-out daily but is quick to apologize, and he can't wait to start preschool this fall.  Not sure what we would do without him.
