Well we didn't have any ear infections this month, so that is good news, but we did end the month with a virus that went through all of us but decided to linger in McKay.  We all had a few days we didn't feel great and Brooklyn even threw up a few times (one time in my car), McKay threw up a few times and then everyone seemed to be doing better.  McKay though decided that he wanted to keep throwing up, so far he has thrown up 15 days in a row.  We just really aren't sure what is going on.  The doctor thinks the virus has just kind of lingered in him and so they are having us take dairy out of his diet because I guess the lactose in the dairy kind of helps the virus stay alive.  So that means we have to cut out most of his formula, we are just really diluting his bottles.  They also told us to start giving him a daily probiotic to see if that would help.  I really hope this works because I am sure getting tired of cleaning up throw up and being thrown up on.  So totally random because other than the throw up he is completely happy.  His sleeping is still about the same, one of these days we will make it until 7:00 am consistently (fingers crossed).  he loves his solid foods, he has been totally fine not drinking very much bottle and eating more solids.  If we are eating he has to be eating and when we give him real people food he does this hilarious creepy satisfied laugh.  He will eat pretty much anything he can get his hands on.  He loves to pick up food and feed himself, he is always so proud of himself.  He also loves the squeeze pouches of baby food and will suck those right down.

We have been spending as much time outside as possible and he has really started to like the swing at the park.  He though is not such a big fan of keeping his hat or sunglasses on.  He likes to hangout in the front pack and just watch the kids play.  He has started getting upset if Brooklyn takes a toy from him.  He is also thinking really hard about crawling.  The last week or so he will get up onto his hands an knees and rock back and forth.  Sometimes he will even go backwards a ways, but every time he tries to go forward his arm gives out on him and he face plants.  Now every time I go in to get him from a nap or in the morning he is always just hanging out on his hands and knees.  He will pull himself up onto his knees, but not yet all the way to his feet.  He loves to clap all the time, though he refuses to do it on command.  He will give high fives, but really only low fives.  He was getting good at giving kisses, but then decided it was funnier to shake his head NO when I ask for a kiss.  He loves to mimic people, especially whoever is sitting behind us at church.  He has gotten even more clingy, if that is even possible.  He has decided that if I am there that I should be the one to hold him, even if Craig is right there.  He still loves to smile and no matter what you can always get a smile or a giggle out of him.  He loves playing with his toes and with water bottles.

This month we also gave him his first real hair cut.  Most of his hair had fallen out months ago except right at the top, but I didn't want to cut it then because he didn't have hair anywhere else so it would have just looked even worse.  So now that the rest of his hair had come in thicker we decided to give it a buzz.  he had this real toupee sort of look going that would blow in the wind.  The buzz really is much cuter.  I feel like it made him look so much older.
