This fall we got outside as much as we could and that included the fire pit. We tried to get out there at least once a week. We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and had friends over to join the fun. I have found this is the only way I can get Craig to be social. We didn't get up to the cabin very much, the in between seasons in McCall just aren't quite as fun, even though they are still beautiful. Which meant that Craig was in town for all of the BSU football games. I even went to a couple as well, we love cheering on our Broncos.
After Halloween McKay really started to get into dressing up. Luckily we bought him some super hero capes and masks last year for Christmas. For a few weeks he was constantly running around as a super hero, superman was the favorite. He even let mom get in on the fun.
Thanksgiving is always such a wonderful time of the year. We did the second annual pie night with Craig's family the day before Thanksgiving, BEST...IDEA...EVER. We brought banana cream and raspberry cream pies. Then we did Thanksgiving dinner with my whole family and some of my Dad's brothers and their families. Always a big shindig, but that is the way it has always been with my family and I wouldn't have it any other way. We got to spend the week with a lot of family and the kids had so much fun with all of their cousins. We have so many things to be thankful for and I am grateful for a time of year that allows us to reflect on all of those things. I am sure grateful for this crazy little family that I get to call mine. Now bring on winter!
