Moving

As excited as we were about Craig graduating, we were not very excited about moving.  Both Craig and I really hate moving, but we knew it needed to be done.  Me being a little OCD (thanks mom) I started packing about 6 weeks before it was actually time to move. I just slowly packed up things that we would no longer need while we were in Memphis, we also started selling furniture. Knowing that we would be moving in with Craig's parents and a lot of our stuff being hand-me-downs we decided to sell things instead of paying to move them. All together we sold the patio furniture, dresser, desk, bookshelf, 2 mattresses, t.v. stand, couches, and our kitchen table and chairs.  Getting rid of all of that stuff made moving way easier and a lot quicker. Since I started packing early, I wasn't stressed at all about the move, just anxious about everything that was going on.  Since we were leaving Memphis and not knowing if we would ever be back we hit up a lot of restaurants and other things for one last time before leaving.

The back of a semi got dropped off Thursday afternoon and then Craig, Stan and some guys from church loaded it Saturday morning.  It only took them less then an hour since we had sold so much and there was so much help.  We then cleaned Saturday and Sunday and then signed the closing papers Monday morning.  It was really weird leaving the house the last time.  It was so good to us for 4 years and it was the only home that Brooklyn knew.  We really loved that home and loved our time in Memphis and all of the friends we made while we were there.  We really will miss it.  Craig and Stan then took off Monday afternoon driving Craig's truck and pulling my car behind it.  It took them 2 1/2 days to drive across the country and they made it into Boise late Wednesday night.  Brooklyn, Diane, and I flew out Monday evening and because of delays we didn't get home until 2 am Tuesday morning.  Brooklyn of course did awesome the whole trip, even without a nap.  She slept the entire second flight.  The truck with our stuff arrived the following Wednesday and we got everything unloaded and down into the basement.  Now to just get everything unpacked and get settled in.
