Merry Christmas

Christmas was definitely a little different this year as a family of 3.  Of course Brooklyn had no idea what was going on, but it was fun for Craig and I to incorporate more "family" things for the holiday.  Since Brooklyn is into everything, the Christmas tree (a whopping 4 footer) was placed up on a side table and placed in the corner in between our couches.  Since we have lived in Memphis, Craig and I have gone out to a nice dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House for Christmas Eve dinner, but we didn't think that would be the best place for Brooklyn, so we decided to go to Texas de Brazil instead.  It was so good.  The salad bar was huge and there were a ton of different meats to choose from.  Craig's favorite was the lamb chops and mine was the garlic sirloin. Brooklyn loved to watch the servers going around and liked the rice and beans and the cheese bread.  We definitely got our moneys worth.

That night we read the nativity and put the baby to bed and then Craig and I turned the fire place on, drank some sparkling cider and watched The Grinch. Christmas morning we woke up and opened a few presents and then finished packing for our trip to Idaho.

The next morning Brooklyn got to open up a few more presents at each grandparents house. She loved the wrapping paper and tissue paper.  The car was not a gift for her but Craig's dad said it was his Christmas gift to himself to share with all of the grandkids.  It matches his Shelby Cobra perfectly. Brooklyn's Aunt Missy made her the super adorable owl beanie.  She got some super cute outfits and fun toys from her grandparents.  She is definitely spoiled, but that's what grandparents are supposed to do, right?
