We also took Pop's new four wheeler's out for a few rides around the neighborhood. McKay was a little nervous at first, but ended up loving them.
We decided to risk the crowds and head out to Pancake house for breakfast. We weren't sure how busy it was going to be so we woke the kids up (the one morning they actually wanted to sleep in) and get there early. This was the first time we had eaten inside a restaurant since all the craziness of Covid. Oh it was so good. You can never go wrong with the Pancake House. We also hit up Ice Cream Alley. Their ice cream scoops are so big that we got just a kiddie size for all four of us to share, of course though Craig only eats like 2 bites so he doesn't really count. Ice Cream Alley is only open from Memorial Day until Labor Day and I'm glad we went when we did because since then it has been so crazy busy that even I wouldn't want to wait in that line and I LOVE ice cream, so that's saying something.
We also just spent a ton of time on the porch and in the backyard. The guys started digging up horse shoe pits, we played corn hole, roasted s'mores, swung on the hammock, drove around the little jeep, and the kids played cops and robbers to their hearts content. McKay face planted it while they were playing and of course Craig and I had left on a walk so Eric and Kim got to deal with his bloody nose and scrapped up face. I am so grateful that our kids consider their cousins to be their closets friends.
