We had a a wonderful Easter week. The kids got to spend a lot of time with cousins and loved every minute of it. They started off the week with an Easter Egg hunt with the Moss cousins on Monday at the Big House. It was a little chilly but the kids had a lot of fun and we got to eat some yummy dessert. During the week Brooklyn and I colored eggs. We used cool whip and food coloring and they turned out great. On Saturday I took the kids to the Easter Egg hunt put on by the Star Chamber of Commerce at Blake Haven Park. Craig ended up picking McKay up on his way home from work so that he could nap and I hung with Brooklyn until the hunt finally started. McKay freaked out a little bit when I tried to get a picture of him with the Easter Bunny, but Brooklyn was more than happy to jump in for a quick picture. There were so many eggs but Brooklyn was so concerned about making sure the littler kids got eggs that she only got about 10 herself. She had a lot of fun and the weather was beautiful, so no complaints. On Easter Sunday we went to my parents house for dinner and another hunt. It was a great day with all of the family. I wasn't sure how McKay would do with the egg hunts, but he went all out and was super excited to grab as many eggs as he could and he was pretty disappointed when they were all gone and kept asking for more. The kids had a lot of fun, the weather was beautiful and we had just had the opportunity to listen general conference. It really was such a great week and it was fun to teach Brooklyn about the real meaning of Easter and to have her be able to start to understand the significance of what our Savior did for us.
