19 Months Old

3/15/2018
Size 3 diapers
Size 12-18 Month clothing
16 teeth

I can't believe how much more my baby seems like a toddler than a baby now.  He does such a great job going into nursery at church and the child watch at the gym (even though he got kicked out once for hitting 4 different kids. Hopefully that will be a one time thing).  He has gotten better about pulling Brooklyn's hair, but will throw a fit if someone takes the toy he is playing with.  He loves to make animal sounds.  He finally has a horse down and his kitty cat is the most adorable sound.  He will finally "smile" for pictures, even though it is not much of an acutal smile, but at least he looks at the camera.  He gets so excited when Brooklyn wakes up in the morning and he will run up to her and give her a big hug.  He has to give Craig about 10 kisses every morning when he leaves for work.  He loves to watch Resuce Bots with Brooklyn and anytimes someone turns on the T.V. he says "bots bots".  He has really enjoyed watching March Madness, he makes a shooting motion with his hand when we say we are going to watch basketball.   His sleeping is about the same.  He has more good nights than bad, but he is definitely an early riser.  His naps are usually good, but will occasionally throw in a short one.  He is typically pretty grumpy when he wakes up in the afternoon for an hour or so.  He loves to be outside and that is typically when he is the happiest.  He is still obsessed with his blocks and he can build some pretty good towers.  He loves to read books before nap and bed, but still refuses to let us sing him any songs.  He still doesn't have a whole lot of words he says, but his sounds are pretty awesome and he can make a killer fishy face.  He is for the most part a very happy and sweet boy and Brooklyn has decided that we should keep him, even when he throws a ginormous fit in the grocery store (big enough that the checker wished me luck as we walked out).  We love him dearly and love watching his personality grow.
He loves to wear his hat but hates to wear sunglasses

Our Big Girl Turns 5!

February 22, 2018
35 lb 8 oz (20th percentile)
42 in. (38th percentile)

I can't believe our sweet little girl is 5 years old already.  She is such a fun, kind, thoughtful, smart, giving, silly girl and we love her so much!  She loves preschool and can't wait to start kindergarten at Galileo next fall.  She is so excited to be starting to learn to read. She loves ballet class and is excited to start soccer in a few weeks.  She is such a great big sister to McKay and is super patient with him (most of the time).  She is not a big fan of the drive to McCall but loves to be at the cabin and play in the snow.  She hates squishy (cooked ) tomatoes and squash.   She loves to play Eye Spy while we drive in the car and princess memory matching game.  She hates to hear her brother cry and will leave the room if he cries too loud.  She loves to run and jump and cartwheel all over the place and just be outside in general. She is such a happy girl and we love her so much.  She makes it seem like we are actually decent parents.

Brooklyn's Favorites (according to her):
color: pink, purple, silver
food: spaghetti, grapes, chicken, frosting, brownies, broccoli
song: Thunder by Imagine Dragons and Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam
sport: soccer

For her birthday we didn't do a big party (neither Craig or I are big party people), but did a lot of little celebrations.  On Wednesday she took cupcakes in to preschool.  Thursday, her actual birthday, She had a waffle with whipped cream and sprinkles for breakfast and then we took cupcakes to dance class and then met up with some family at McDonald s for lunch.  She insisted we go there for lunch because in her mind you only go there for your birthday.  That evening we ate dinner as a family and then opened her presents.  Of all the things she got, her favorite was the $8 stuffed unicorn.  She loved all the presents, but the unicorn is pretty much by her side whenever she is at home.  Friday evening we got together with family for texas sheet cake, chocolate chip cookies and ice cream.  Finally on Sunday my Mom had a birthday dinner.  She is so lucky to be surround by such wonderful supportive people.  She is such a wonderful girl and we are so lucky to have her as part of our family.
