I can't believe that a month has already gone by, more like flown by. He didn't have a doctors appointment so I don't know his weight or height, but he is definitely growing. He is pooping and peeing like a champ so he is for sure getting enough food. He is still wearing newborn diapers and newborn clothes, but they are getting tighter on him. He is gradually staying awake more, he does pretty good now with the eat/wake/sleep cycles. During the day he goes about 2 hours and 45 minutes in between feedings and at night he will eat at about 9:30 pm and we will lay him down and he will go 4 to 4 1/2 hours and then go about 3 1/2 until his next feeding and then his morning feeding is around 8:30 am. So most nights I am getting around 6 hours of sleep, which I feel like for the mother of a newborn is pretty dang good.
He eats pretty well most of the time. We had some issues with some gas while I was on some antibiotics and he would always come off when he needed to toot, luckily that has gotten a little better, but he does still come on and off more than I would like. He also spits up a lot more then Brooklyn ever did. Not enough for me to think it is acid reflux (especially since it doesn't seem to bother him at all), but still enough that we go through a ton of burp clothes and onesies. Sometimes it seems like he pukes up everything he just ate, but most of the time it is just a constant dribble of spit up. We have tried cripe water, but that doesn't really seem to make a difference and I can't see any other pattern with what I'm eating and his spitting up.
Other than the spit up he is a great baby. He naps well, eats much faster then Brooklyn ever did, takes bottles like a champ, take a binky, and is happy most of the time. He hated his bathes at first, but now really likes them. He loves when we wash and brush his hair, which I have fun styling differently. Brooklyn loves her little brother and she loves to do Big Sister things like "babysit" him when I shower. She also loves that McKay gave her an Elsa dress when he got home from the hospital. She loves to hold him and sing to him and just love on him in general.
