Our spring was filled with the kids sports per usual. Brooklyn played club soccer with the Chicas. She had a few local tournaments and then one up in northern Idaho in Coeur d'Alane. We love driving up through McCall and seeing all the beauty of our state. Their season went decent, but they didn't win any of their tournaments. Brooklyn had a great time with all her teammates.
McKay played another season of flex football. The season started off a little shaky with a coach that was new to flex. It took a few games to get things settled, but they were definitely the most improved team. McKay dominated as always and impressed people left and right with his interceptions, runs and flag grabs. He just truly loves being out on the field.
At the end of April, Craig and I had the opportunity to go to Nashville for a Vision Source meeting. It was fun to be back in Tennessee. We ate BBQ, went to our favorite breakfast spot (The Pancake Pantry), walked around town, went axe throwing, rode scooters to a triple A baseball game and just enjoyed our time together.
The kids also finished out 7th grade and 3rd grade. I can't believe another school year has come and gone. Brooklyn had a great year at Star Middle and finished out with a 4.0, even in her honors classes. McKay did great in 3rd grade and is more than ready for 4th grade. He has the best group of buddies and they have so much fun together. We finished out the school year with a little last day of school pool party.
A lot of our spring was also spent packing up our house, selling furniture, buying furniture, moving into Stan and Diane's and checking on our new house. So many visits to watch and see what was happening. It was so fun to watch the progress. There was also a lot of time spent with family and friends, including Easter.
