We started our Christmas celebrations during Thanksgiving break with the Christmas Spectacular show at the Morrison Center with Craig's whole side of the family. We then did our annual Grinch Night at Mark and Paige's and then decorating Christmas cookies. We headed up to the cabin the weekend before Christmas and were hoping to ski, but there wasn't enough snow, so the kids played in what little snow there was.
Christmas Eve we did our typical split of families. We spent the day with my family. We went tubing at Eagle Island and ate lunch together. We then went home to shower and grab food and then headed to Craig's parents house for dinner and the nativity. We really enjoy being able to spend so much time with family during the holidays. The kids love being with their cousins and grandparents.
Christmas morning the kids were up just after 7:00am. We headed downstairs to see what "Santa" brought. The kids both got electric scooters, they were pretty stoked. We then ate our cinnamon rolls before unwrapping the rest of the gifts. My mom stopped by and the kids opened their gifts from her as well. We then headed up to my mom's house for Christmas brunch and for the kids to open their cousin gifts. We gradually made our way over Craig's parents house to eat leftovers and hang with family.
We then headed back up to McCall for New Years. Mark's family went up too, along with Stan and Diane. We were finally able to get up on the mountain to ski. The snow wasn't great but it was still fun. We had a ton of fun at the cabin doing puzzles, watching movie, playing games and eating a lot of food. The kids even stayed up until midnight on new years eve.
We had a great Christmas break and were able to spend a lot of time together as a family. It is always such a joy to celebrate the birth of our Savior and to really focus on the true meaning of the season.
